According to SBS Biz reports, Samsung had initially scheduled the release of its new extended reality (XR) headset for February 2024. However, after the announcement of Apple's Vision Pro, Samsung has decided to review the specifications and design of its own XR headset, leading to a delay of 3 to 6 months in the launch of the product.

Samsung's XR headset is an upcoming device that runs on Android and offer immersive experiences in virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. Samsung is working with Google, Qualcomm, Meta, and Microsoft to develop this device.

Apple Vision Pro was unveiled at WWDC on June 5, 2023, which is a mixed reality headset that runs on visionOS. It offers an infinite canvas for apps, immersive entertainment, and lifelike photos and videos. Apple Vision Pro will be available in early 2024 for $3,499. Apple Vision Pro is controlled by eyes, hands, and voice, and has an Apple Watch-like dial to switch between AR and VR.
