DJI is set to unveil the DJI Avata 2 flying drone along with the accompanying DJI Goggles 3 on April 11. The DJI Goggles designed for this drone offer support for Real View PIP (picture-in-picture) immersive mode.
According to reports, this immersive mode shares similarities with the see-through function found in Apple's Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3/Pro headsets. By wearing the DJI Goggles, users can conveniently maintain awareness of their surroundings while piloting the drone, enabling them to respond promptly.
The DJI Goggles 3 will feature a Micro-OLED screen and serve as an all-in-one VR device specifically designed to operate with a customized version of the DJI Fly application. Additionally, it is mentioned that the goggles will incorporate an "ultra-low latency" mode, although detailed information regarding the specific latency parameters is currently unavailable.
