Luxury airline BeOnd, based in the Maldives, recently unveiled plans to offer selected passengers an enhanced in-flight entertainment experience with Apple Vision Pro.

Tero Taskila, the CEO of BeOnd Airlines, expressed excitement about the introduction of Apple Vision Pro, emphasizing that their airline is the first to deploy this innovative technology.

Recognizing the potential of Vision Pro during long-distance flights, Apple has introduced a travel mode on visionOS, enabling users to enjoy movies on a large virtual screen while on the plane.

BeOnd aims to provide its passengers with fully reclining seats, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the Vision Pro experience from the moment they arrive at the airport.

While BeOnd has not disclosed the exact number of Vision Pro units available per flight or their criteria for selecting passengers to use the technology, the airline's commitment to elevating the in-flight entertainment experience is clear.

BeOnd Airline is a new Maldivian airline that connects Maldives to multiple European and Asian countries, as well as Australia. It is a joint venture formed by the Emirati investment firm Arabesque, and the Maldivian hospitality company SIMDI Group. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus aircraft with 68 lie-flat seats, and plans to serve over 50 destinations in the next few years. As of February 2024, BeOnd serves Munich, Riyadh and Zurich.
