Apple Launches Vision Pro Developer Kit for App and Gaming Development

Apple has recently made an announcement that developers can now request the Vision Pro developer kit from its official website. The innovative product aims to enhance app and gaming experience.

To apply for the Vision Pro Developer Kit, developers are required to fill out a short application form online, providing details such as their team information, development skills, existing applications, and agreeing to the relevant terms and conditions. The applications will be reviewed, and priority will be given to applicants who create applications that utilize the visionOS features and functionality.

Along with providing the Vision Pro developer kit, Apple will also set up Vision Pro developer labs in six cities around the world, including Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. These labs will enable developers to test and optimize their visionOS, iPadOS, and iOS apps on Vision Pro, with the assistance of dedicated Apple engineers, making them ready for the Vision Pro to be used by consumers.

The Vision Pro Developer Kit comprises of the following components:

1. A Vision Pro device, which is an Apple-owned development device that needs to be returned upon request.

2. Guidelines and assistance to facilitate the setup process and get started.

3.Regular communication with Apple experts to obtain UI design and development guidance, along with suggestions for optimizing applications.

4. Two additional code-level technical support requests to address any coding issues.

5. A compatibility evaluation request, allowing the App Review team to test the appearance and performance of visionOS, iPadOS, or iOS applications on Vision Pro, and provide feedback reports.
